Te Kāhui Kāhu Online

Te Kāhui Kāhu Online is our purpose-built assessment system used the manage accreditation and approval process. 

Setting up your account

Before starting make sure you have:

  • a computer, laptop or tablet, and
  • a smartphone with its operating system up-to-date.
Step 1: Welcome email

Check your email inbox for your welcome email and click on the link to get started.

Step 2: Terms and conditions

Read through the information and accept the terms and conditions by ticking the boxes at the bottom and clicking ‘Next: Create password’.

Step 3a: Salesforce Authenticator app

Download the ‘Salesforce Authenticator’ app from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure you select the correct app as others may have charges attached. There is more information on installing the app further on this page.

Installing Salesforce Authenticator

If you have a different authenticator app already on your smartphone you may choose to use that one instead. If you use a different app you will need to follow its own verification process and then skip to step 5.

Why do I have to use multi-factor authentication?

We use a multi-factor authentication process to help users of Te Kāhui Kāhu Online comply with our security standards needed to protect the information in our system. 

Our secure login process adds an extra layer of protection to your accounts and data by requiring users to provide multiple forms of identification before gaining access to Te Kāhui Kāhu Online. 

This is important to bolster security, protect sensitive information and comply with regulations. 

Step 3b: Add account to Salesforce Authenticator

If it is your first time connecting an account to the app you will need to select the blue 'Yes' button. Then click 'Connect Your Account' which will generate a unique two-word phrase that you will need for the next step.

Step 4: Connect your account to Salesforce Authenticator

Enter the two-word phrase shown on the app into the Connect Salesforce Authenticator screen shown on your computer, laptop or tablet.

You will be prompted to check your smartphone. Click ‘Connect’ and then click ‘Got it’. Your account will then be added. Please ensure that you allow notifications so that you are able to successfully authenticate yourself when logging in.

Optional: If you login to Te Kāhui Kāhu Online from the same place every time, you can automated the authentication step by clicking on the 'Location Access' settings and allowing the app to access your location.

To continue, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Next' button. You will be taken to a page where you can choose to back-up your account. To continue further, scroll to the bottom of the page again and click the 'Next' button.

Step 5: Change your password

On your computer, laptop or tablet you will be asked to create a unique password using the requirements provided.

Keep your password and smartphone secure. You will need them every time you log into Te Kāhui Kāhu Online

Installing Salesforce Authenticator

Salesforce Authenticator is a smartphone app that you will need to use for logging into Te Kāhui Kāhu Online. Along with your password, this will be how you log in to the system.

Step 1: Find and download the right app

Search 'Salesforce Authenticator' in Google Play (for Android users) or the App Store (for iPhone users).

The logo of the app has a blue padlock with a white tick, and 'salesforce' written underneath.

Other apps may work as well however you may be charged to download these. The Salesforce Authenticator app is free to use.

Step 2: Set up the app

You will be given a brief demonstration on how to use the app. You can skip the demonstration by clicking 'Skip Tour' in the top right of the screen.

You will then be prompted to enter your phone number and you'll be sent a text with a link. The link will take you to the 'Set a Passcode' screen where you will need to choose a 4-digit pin.

Your app is now fully set up and ready to connect to Te Kāhui Kāhu Online.

Saving your progress while completing an assessment

When you are completing your assessment, you may want to save your progress and come back later.

Saving your progress on a standard

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Save and Go back' button.

At the top right of the screen click the 'Save for later' button.

Returning to your questions

When you log back in to your Te Kāhui Kāhu Online account you can click the 'Continue with application' button.

Requesting a change

You can update, add or remove:

  • details about your organisation,
  • sites you deliver from,
  • services you deliver,
  • contact people, or
  • relationships you have with other agencies or organisations.

To request a change:

  1. Log into your Te Kāhui Kāhu Online account
  2. Click 'Manage My Organisation'
  3. Click 'Request a change'
  4. Select the section you'd like to update
  5. When you've made all your changes click 'Submit'. 

Depending on the change we'll either update your information, or you'll be prompted to start an assessment.
